Community safety can be achieved through active participation by local residents and effective cooperation with state institutions. But that requires bridging the trust gap between the public and the government.

This webinar will discuss three case studies on how collaboration solved complex safety issues, providing valuable insights for all those involved in community safety and development efforts.

Opportunity: SVRI Research Director (re-advertisement)

 

The SVRI is seeking a dynamic and experienced Research Director to guide SVRIs work on research and capacity building on violence against women and child sexual violence and other forms of violence driven by gender inequality in low- and middle-income countries.

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of research methodologies, and a commitment to decolonisation and localisation through advancing knowledge in the field of violence prevention and response in low- and middle-income countries.

You’re Invited! Child Trauma Conference

 

Jelly Beanz and Mosaic invite you to join the Child Trauma Conference. The theme “ Healing Generations” focuses on the impact of trauma on current and future generations, and finding creative measures to interrupt this cycle of abuse. The key note speaker is Dr Bruce Perry, who is renowned for his extensive contributions to understanding the impact of abuse, neglect, and trauma on the developing brain.

 

Upon registration you will have full access to all sessions, workshops, ​panel discussions, and the exhibition area, providing ample opportunities to engage and learn from ​industry experts. Interactive workshops and insightful sessions will allow you to expand your ​knowledge and gain new skills.

 

This conference will take place from the 17th to the 18th of September 2024.

Opportunity: consultant to develop an story illustrating the impact of MenEngage Alliance’s work on gender justice, women’s rights, and LGBTQI rights

MenEngage Alliance is seeking to work with a consultant with a flair for impact-driven storytelling to develop a story of change that illustrates the story of how MenEngage Alliance, through a variety of activities and approaches, has an impact for women’s rights, gender justice, LGBTQI rights, climate justice, and social justice for all. The story of change, developed closely with the Global Secretariat and other stakeholders within MenEngage Alliance, will serve as a blueprint for a series of future stories of change to be developed on an ongoing basis.

 

Applications will be considered on a rolling basis. Those who have an interest should submit their application at their earliest convenience. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
