Resource: Lessons for engaging researchers in a violence prevention platform

The Violence Prevention Forum (VPF) is a multisectoral platform that supports the use of evidence to inform violence prevention in South Africa. There is growing interest in the VPF model locally and internationally – how it works, why organisations participate, whether the methodology is transferable, and what lessons have been learnt for multisectoral collaboration and dialogue. Using case studies, this report documents the experiences of the research sector in the VPF.

You’re Invited! Webinar: Shifting norms and values to prevent violence against children

Strengthening norms and values that support positive, gender-equitable relationships and non-violent problem solving is one of the strategies in INSPIRE: 7 Strategies to Prevent Violence Against Children. Shifting deeply entrenched beliefs about the role of men, women and children is often challenging. However, evidence shows that it is an effective way to keep children safe.

This webinar showcases global approaches to strengthening norms, focusing on the lessons learned, challenges, adaptations and key ingredients of successful interventions. This webinar will take place on the 3rd of June 2024.

You’re Invited! Online webinar: the importance of learning through play

The Global Parenting Initiative is excited to celebrate its significance on the first-ever International Day of Play!
