We are pleased to invite you to the next Peer Learning Session of the MenEngage CoLab on Thursday 3 August. In this session we will hear from Tedy John and Marcela Lungu from
Transformative and integrative Build out for all (TIBA), who will share methods and results of a program based around community coffee hubs in Tanzania.
The program engages men to challenge gender-based violence by addressing social norms that stifle male emotional vulnerability and openness, and creating spaces where men can explore alternatives to traditional ideas of manhood.

Article: Buffering against instability – Violence Prevention Workshop with ISS
Agbiz and the ISS Violence Prevention team hosted a workshop for an extended Agbiz working group on buffering against instability. This interactive workshop was part of a series of workshops hosted by Agbiz in the interests of rural rejuvenation. The workshop was successfully hosted on the 12th of July – this article details the process, the outcomes and some of the feedback of participants.

Report: Knowledge Translation in the Global South: Bridging Different Ways of Knowing for Equitable Development
The Africa Evidence Network has a newly released report titled “Knowledge, Translation in the Global South: Bridging Different Ways of Knowledge for Equitable Development. It follows a year long study stemming from the desire to contribute to and learn from the evolving field of knowledge translation theory and practice, particularly highlighting innovatios and experiences in the Global South. The report provides concrete recommendations for how funders can support research use.

The Global Women’s Institute is offering a Building GBV Evidence Course, a self-paced virtual course to build global gender-based violence capacity through local development and implementation of evidence-building activities. The course includes standalone research and improved monitoring & evaluation systems among refugee populations. The course materials are freely accessible to anyone interested in ethical and safe research, monitoring, and evaluation of GBV.
